About The Foundation

The Foundation for the Welfare of Holocaust Victims is an NGO-NPO established by Holocaust survivors for the Holocaust survivors. The foundation was founded in 1991 and began to operate in 1994 with the assistance of the Center organizations of Holocaust Survivors in Israel, and in cooperation with the Claims Conference, to assist Holocaust survivors. There are currently 161,000 Holocaust survivors in Israel, of whom about 25% live below the poverty line and have difficulty living in dignity.
