Zeev Schwartz – Has served as member of the Governing Council of the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel since 1994 – During World War II he was deported with his family to Transnistria, where his father and brother died and were buried in a mass grave near Mogilev. After the war he returned to Romania and then immigrated to Israel. In Israel he married and today he has two children and five grandchildren. Mr. Schwartz has a degree in economy and he retired after working as a branch manager at Bank Hapoalim.
Mr. Schwartz currently serves as Chairman of the Association of Romanian Immigrants (Hitachdut Olei Romania) and as Chairman of the Information and Public Relations Committee of the Center of Survivor Organizations in Israel.
